Topsoil & Rain is a jewelry brand built in collaboration with independent artists across Asia. Every piece we offer is an original design, made by hand in small workshops by the artists who imagined it.
Natural materials, honest hands
We work with materials that come from the earth and keep changing once they leave it: metal, stone, wood and woven cord, and more as our artists explore. Copper deepens and blooms with patina. Wood darkens with every hand that holds it. Stone carries its own markings. We would rather show these things than polish them away.
Made to order
Nothing sits in a warehouse. When you place an order, your piece is made for you by one of our partner artists. Our first collection, Copper Iris, is handmade by a Tibetan artist. It takes a little longer, usually 1–4 weeks before it ships, and every piece is its own.
What we believe
- Original design. Every piece starts as an artist's own drawing, not a catalog.
- Made by hand. Small variations are part of the design.
- Made to age. Patina and wear are the piece becoming yours.
